Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos
While robots aren't able to replace a traditional vacuum for picking up ground-in debris such as metal screws and pieces of orzo pasta, they're great at sweeping crumbs, dust and pet hair. The best models have intelligent navigation and a feature to avoid objects that allow them to maneuver around cords, toys and other obstacles in the household.
1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a fantastic robot vacuum that has a variety of smart features that make it easier to maintain than other models. The automatic bin emptying feature is one of the best features we've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's great on carpets and hard floors. The app guides you through the entire process. It's also simple to use and set up. Another feature that is impressive is the ability to go back to the spot where it was when we tested it. It did this for 77 minutes on one cleaning before running out of battery.
Contrary to other robovacs that we evaluated, the i3+ EVO comes with self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's filled. This reduces hands-on maintenance and keeps the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still needs to be manually empty after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L which is enough to last four to five cleaning sessions.
The i3+ EVO, just like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also lets you navigate through neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, whereas the i7 is able to store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not the i3+ EVO.
While the i3+ EVO is more effective in picking up surface debris than some of the other robovacs we reviewed but it's not the best for cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being surprisingly quiet. It pulled chairs away from walls and caused some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and also was stuck to cords and toys during testing.
2. Black & Decker Pro Q5
The Q5 Pro is an excellent choice, whether you are expanding your collection of robot vacuums or just starting out. It features a sleek design, powerful navigation, and efficient automation at a low price. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model available today and even matches some of Roborock's much pricier models in several ways.
This robot is fantastic in cleaning floors that are bare and its avoidance technology helps it to steer away from furniture legs or other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets and gets an excellent score in our navigation tests. The only drawback is that it's louder than other models, and doesn't perform better in our user-satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust bin of 770ml, meaning that you won't have to empty it as frequently as other 2-in-1 robots. The 240-minute runtime is quite generous in comparison to other robots we've tried. When the battery is low it goes back to its dock and automatically recharges before continuing cleaning where it left off. You can control the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen with 3D mapping. This along with other advances has helped it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming tests and mopping tests. It allows you to schedule cleanings, set no-go zones, and view the battery's condition, among other things. The app is simple to use, however it doesn't support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of early November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to reflect that this feature is delayed until 2025. Several other robots don't work with HomeKit, but many of them work with Siri Shortcuts.

It features a sleek design and a lot of amazing features for the price. It can be controlled using the buttons on the machine, via the app or even using voice commands. The device has a long battery life and the vacuum container can be automatically empty.
The TP-Link RV30 Plus is a ideal vacuum cleaner for everyday messy messes. It can also be used to lightly mop on hard floors. It comes with mopping cloths that can be replaced and a sweeper brush, and a HEPA filter. It can be paired with a smart home hub such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for easy voice control. The TP-Link RV30 Plus is easy to install and can be connected to a wide range of flooring surfaces by using the automatic mode. This guarantees the most effective cleaning results for each room and floor type.
You can select three cleaning modes to suit your requirements. The vacuuming mode uses the smart sensor for detection of obstacles like stairs, furniture edges, and stairs. It also provides amazing navigation and obstacle avoidance.
This model utilizes an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map out your home and design efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was highly rated for its coverage and navigation. It also did a great job avoiding obstacles like furniture. It also has the ability to return to the base station which is a nice feature in the event it is unable to recharge its battery during cleaning.
The spot cleaning mode lets you to clean a certain area on your floor. It can also be manually programmed to follow a fixed path, which is beneficial in narrow staircases or hallways. It did a good job of cleaning carpets in our carpet cleaning review however, it had trouble with higher pile carpets and rugs.
